Angels City Council Approves Police Position
Angels Camp, CA — Angels Camp Police Chief Tony Tacheira has the go ahead to hire a new patrol officer.
The City Council met Tuesday night and approved the new position. The move is a result of an officer being out on a workman´s comp claim, which created a vacancy in the department´s patrol division.
Tacheira says a department detective had been filling in for the patrol position. With the council´s decision, the detective will return to investigating crimes and a new patrol officer will be hired to fill the workman´s comp vacancy.
The Angels Camp City Council meets on the first and third Tuesday of every month at the Angels Camp Firehouse on Highway 4.
