Valley Residents Arrested For Attempted Passing Of A Counterfeit Bill
Sonora, CA — Three Lodi residents and an Oakdale resident were arrested early Sunday morning after attempting to pass a counterfeit bill at the Black Oak Casino.
Deputy Rich Champlin received a call of subjects that had attempted to pass a counterfeit $100 bill. After departing the casino, they were contacted by Champlin on Tuolumne Rd. near the Junction Shopping Center.
Champlin arrested 49 year old Mark Stephen Wilcox of Lodi on conspiracy to pass a fictitious bill, being under the influence of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia. He remains in custody with a $10,000 bail.
Also arrested was 42 year old Mark Andrew Cagley of Lodi. He remains jailed on similar charges with an identical bail amount.
24 year old Heriberto Ochoa Ceja of Lodi was booked, cited and then released for being under the influence and possession of a controlled substance.
44 year old Jimmy Ray Stevens of Oakdale was booked on a drug related felony bench warrant. He remains in custody with no bail.
