Monday Night Snowfall May Reach As Low As 1,500 Feet

Hanford, CA — The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning for the Sierra Nevada and the foothills.
That warning is in effect from six o´clock this evening until 6am Wednesday.
New snowfall accumulations of from three to six inches are expected overnight tonight down to 1,500 feet with as much as 12 to 18 inches possible above 3,000 feet.
In addition to the snow, strong winds with local gusts of 30mph over the high mountain passes will cause whiteout conditions at times.
