Deputies Pick Up Two Wanted Men In West Point
West Point, CA — It was a busy week in West Point for Calaveras County Sheriff´s Deputies.
On Tuesday deputies pulled over and arrested 40-year old Barry Wooden for an outstanding warrant from his hometown of Jackson. Jackson police had issued abe on the lookout” for Wooden and the black Ford pick up he was driving in connection with a robbery and parole violation.
And on Wednesday, deputies arrested Earl Surginer of West Point in a stolen vehicle. Deputy Steve Avila contacted Surginer while he was parked on the side of Highway 26 in West Point. A records check revealed he was wanted for assault with a deadly weapon from an incident last November and was driving a stolen vehicle from Hayward.
Surginer is in jail on $113,000.
