Valley Pair Arrested For Meth Possession

Sponsored by:

Sonora, CA — A pair of valley residents were arrested Saturday afternoon by Tuolumne County Sheriff´s deputies.

At approximately 1pm, Deputy Rod Hobbs made contact with 39 year old David Trevino of Empire and 35 year old Roylene Roberts of Ceres near Tuolumne Rd. and Cherokee Rd. Hobbs discovered meth and a meth pipe in Roberts possession. She was arrested without incident.

When Trevino was patted down for weapons, Hobbs felt what he thought to be a meth pipe in Trevino´s pocket. Moments later, the suspected pipe could not be found. Trevino explained that he swallowed the five to six inch glass pipe. Later at a hospital, attendents discovered the pipe in a sharps container after it had been passed from a body cavity.

Both Roberts and Trevino were released with a notice to appear.
