Friends And Family Remember The Late Jim Segerstrom
Sonora, CA– Many Mother Lode Residents would label Saturday as bitter sweet as friends, family and co-workers said their final good-byes to longtime Search and Rescue Team member Jim Segerstrom.
At approximately noon, Washington Street was temporarily shut down as a procession in honor of the late Segerstrom took place.
The procession filled with engines, ambulances, and patrol cars, ended at Sierra Bible Church where the memorial service was held.
60- year-old Segerstrom died on February 5th in the U.C.-San Francisco Medical Center. Yosemite National Park Ranger Charlie Fullam said Segerstrom was responsible for training hundreds to thousands of people search and rescue and swift water training.
