State Senate Votes To Switch California’s Presidential Primary

Sonora, CA — The state Senate today passed a measure that would move California´s presidential primary election to the first Tuesday in February beginning next year while leaving the statewide primary election in June.
Authored by Democrat Ron Calderon of Montebello, SB-113 enjoyed widespread support with only a few of the Senate´s 40 members voting against the bill.
