Vehicle Stop Results In Drug Arrests

Sonora, CA — A Friday morning traffic stop ended with two Copperopolis residents under arrest on drug charges. 27 year old Robert William Reed and 47 year old Kathy Louise Ross were pulled over for running a stop sign at Chicken Ranch Rd. and Hwy. 108. The Deputy immediately recognized the passenger, Reed, as having several warrants for his arrest.

Inside the vehicle was found one ounce of marijuana, methamphetamine, smoking pipes and other paraphernalia. Both were transported to Tuolumne County Jail. Ross was released on $20,000 bail. Reed was transported to Calaveras County Jail where he faces additional charges relating to probation violations.
