Patel Chosen For Leadership Award

Tuolumne, CA — Native American Casino Magazine has chosen Ron Patel, General Manager of Black Oak Casino, as its 2006 Leadership Award recipient.

The award seeks an honoree who is a mentor to others and an inspiration on the job. Patel was nominated by Black Oak Human Resources Manager Patrick Dempsey and Marketing Manager Al O´Brien.

In their letter, they describe Patel as “so much more than a ´general manager.”

In a statement, Patel says, “I am truly humbled by this award which came totally out of the blue. Having now lived and worked in this community for over five years, I consider it a privilege to have been given the leadership role at Black Oak Casino. The Tuolumne Band of Me-Wuk and the team I work with at Black Oak are exceptional. I thank everyone for the role they have played in making Black Oak the success it is today and a leader in California Casinos.”
