Vida Blue Keynotes Boy Scout Fundraiser
Sonora, CA — Baseball great Vida Blue is in the Mother Lode today speaking at a pair of fundraisers for local boy scouts.
This morning the 1971 AL MVP spoke at the 3rd annual Tuolumne County Friends of Scouting Breakfast at the Sonora Elks Lodge. Blue spoke on a number of topics, ranging from the importance of the boy scouts to whether or not Barry Bonds will set the all time Major League home run record.
Blue is a former Tuolumne County resident and says he enjoys coming back to the area. He currently resides in Tracy.
Today at noon, Blue will speak at the Golden Heritage Friends of Scouting Luncheon at Greenhorn Creek in Angels Camp.
