Sonora, CA — The Tuolumne County Sheriff´s Department has launched a new computer aided records and dispatch system.
The system is designed to allow more efficient dispatch capabilities and shorter response times for deputies.
Lieutenant Dan Bressler says that uniform crime reporting will be streamlined so the department no longer has to rely on outdated hand search methods.
Bressler adds,It´s also a system that allows deputies to write their reports on the computer. It allows us to go paperless in a lot of ways because those reports can be forwarded to where they need to be without having to wait for somebody to bundle them up and walk them over to the department.”
Total cost for the new system is $300,000.
