Sonora, CA — The Tuolumne Utilities District has lifted the boil water restrictions for residents living in the Big Hill area.
The announcement was made by T.U.D. General Manager Pete Campa. He says the water has now been completely restored, and has been run through the proper testing mechanisms.
It has been a busy week for T.U.D. Campa says the office has responded to close to 1000 calls for service since this past weekend. Campa adds, “We put full crews on the streets and the guys worked many long hours and late shifts into the night.”
All in all, he says everything went very well. He says the unfortunate aspect was the property damage some individuals sustained from freezing pipes.
