Summerville H.S. Foundation Is Raising Money For New Tennis Courts
Tuolumne CA — The Summerville High School Foundation was recently made aware that they will be the recipient of a $200,000 grant from the Irving J. Symons Foundation.
The only stipulation is that the money must be matched within 2 years.
Summerville High School Foundation Vice-Chair Mark Kraft says the majority of the funding would go to one major project…new tennis courts. Kraft notes that about six years ago when the school built the new theatre-arts building, the tennis courts were torn down. The School has not been able to fund the construction of new courts, so the Foundation has decided to take on the project.
Funding would also help with things such as the completion of the new $350,000 all-weather softball field. Kraft says anyone who would like to donate to the cause can contact the high school, or click on summervillefoundation.org.
