Applegate Relieved Over Supervisors’ Dispatch Fee Decision
Sonora, CA — Greg Applegate exited the Tuolumne County Supervisors´ meeting Tuesday morning with a sigh of relief following the decision that the county would continue to be responsible for fire protection dispatch fees.
There had been some speculation within the county that city and small fire districts would have to shoulder the burden of those dispatch fees.
The Sonora city administrator stated that those fees would have placed a burden and an extreme hardship on small fire districts as well as the city of Sonora. He added that he is hopeful a plausible solution can be rendered that will acceptable to all parties.
