Tuolumne County Supervisors Say No To $10,000 In Funding
Sonora, CA — With all five seated, the Tuolumne County Board of Supervisors quickly got down to business this morning by turning a “thumbs down” on several issues: a $5,000 funding for the Central Sierra Arts Council and a $5,000 for the relocation of the historic Jamestown Jail to Rocca Park.
Still another discussion centered on vacating a portion of Clements Rd. After a number of comments from area residents and C.D.F. personnel, Chairperson Mark Thornton took a vote that favored the vacating.
Just before the lunch break, the supervisors unanimously approved an enlargement of 1,010 acres for two agricultural preserves for the Chicken Ranch Rancheria of Me-Wuk Indians.
