Hung Jury For Mann Trial

Sponsored by:

San Andreas, CA — There is a hung jury in the murder trial of Anthony Mann, who stands accused of vehicular manslaughter.

The Calaveras County District Attorney´s Office says during deliberations the jury could not come to a unanimous decision on Mann´s verdict.

Court documents say Mann, who was 17 at the time, was driving drunk when his car left Blagen Road, hit a tree and overturned in a ditch. His brother Ernest and Steven Ferrari were in the car and both perished.

A court date of January 22 at 9 a.m. has been set to reset the jury and retry Mann.

Mann, who is now 20, remains in Calaveras County jail on $335,000 bail.
