Auditor Receives Award For Third Consecutive Year
San Andreas, CA — Calaveras County Auditor Linda Churches is being commended for receiving the Government Finance Officers Association achievement award for three years straight.
The association is a professional organization of local and state government finance officials.
The Calaveras County Auditor Controller´s Office recently received the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting for its work on the 2005 Comprehensive Annual Financial Report.
Every year nearly 3,500 Comprehensive Annual Financial Reports are submitted for review and participation in the award program.
According to County Administrative Officer Tom Mitchell in the past only two small counties in the state have received this honor, Glenn and Calaveras counties.
