Slowdown To Continue On Hwy 49 At Tuttletown

Sponsored by:

Sonora, CA — CHP Officer Tom Wills reports it will be another two plus hours before the second lane of Hwy 49 past the Red Barn in the Tuttletown area is open for motorists.

During the one o´clock hour this afternoon a tree fell downing a power line which in turn damaged several power poles. P.G.& E. is now in the process of replacing those polls and that is the cause of the delay.

The CHP is conducting controlled one lane traffic while advising motorists to use Parrotts Ferry Rd. to Hwy 4 as an alternate route.
