Sonora, CA — Off and on rainfall could not stop the traditional Mutz´ Bean Feed and Pop Hudson Sing in downtown Sonora Friday afternoon.
21-years-ago on this day, Galen ?Mutz? Mutzner began serving beans to anyone who stopped by, and the event has been running strong ever since.
?Other than a little rain today, everything´s been just perfect,? says Mutzner. ?We brought in some tarps and umbrellas.?
It is one of the popular events that surrounds Christmas in the Mother Lode.
Mutz´ adds, “People say that it is the biggest social event in Tuolumne County and they love to come.”
The Bean Feed began at noon and shortly after the Pop Hudson Sing got underway in Courthouse Park.
