Pair Arrested Following Columbia College Robbery

Columbia, CA — 19 year old Charles Augustus of 11800 Columbia College Drive and 19 year old Robert Johnson of Lancaster, CA have been arrested by Tuolumne County Sheriff´s deputies following a robbery at the Columbia College Apartments Sunday evening.

According to the department report four subjects came to the apartment complex to purchase cigarettes. When the victim went to get the cigarettes one of the suspects grabbed the him and demanded his money. Another suspect brandished a handgun at the victim. The suspects left the complex with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Augustus and Johnson were subsequently arrested and the handgun was recovered along with drugs and drug paraphernalia. The other two suspects remain at large.

The investigation is continuing.
