District One Supervisorial Recount Set For Today

Sponsored by:

Sonora, CA — The recount of the votes for the Tuolumne County District One supervisorial race between Incumbent Liz Bass and Randy Selesia is scheduled for 8am today in the fourth floor conference room of the County Administration Building at 2 S. Green St.

The November 24 certification of the General Election showed Bass the winner by a margin of 198 votes. However Selesia filed within the stated time period his request to have the votes recounted.

Should the result remain the same Selesia would be liable for the recount expense which according to the challenger would be anywhere from $600 to $1,500. If the certification results are overturned Selesia would not be responsible for any indebtedness to the county.

Clerk and Auditor-Controller Debi Russell will oversee the recount.
