ATCAA Collecting Food For Those In Need

Sponsored by:

Jamestown, Ca — With the economy in a downturn, the ATCAA food bank in Jamestown is noticing a growing amount of need in the community this holiday season.

?We still have applications coming through the door, and we are at about a 20 percent increase from last year,? says Anthony Martinez of ATCAA. ?We are expecting 1,200 families in need this Thanksgiving.?

Martinez adds that the organization is still looking for 700 cans of pie filling and 200 cans of cranberry sauce for its annual Holiday Food Basket Program. Red donation barrels are located at area grocery stores and numerous banks in the community.

The organization is also looking for cash donations and volunteers. You can learn more by calling the Food Bank at 984-3960.
