San Andreas, CA — CAL Fire will begin transitional staffing in the Tuolumne-Calaveras Unit Monday, November 3.
This includes the counties of Calaveras, Tuolumne and those eastern portions of San Joaquin and Stanislaus that are within the State Responsibility Area.
Those fire stations that have two engines staffed during summer preparedness will be downsized to a single engine. All one engine stations will remain open and staffed. The two bulldozers will remain staffed as needed. Columbia Air Attack, Copter 404 and Tankers 82 and 83 will remain on contract.
Even with the forecasted precipitation BURN SUSPENSION REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL CONDITIONS AFFECTING THE EXTREMELY DRY STATUS OF THE FOREST FUELS HAVE BEEN ABATED BY ADEQUATE RAINFALL. Violators of the burn suspension will be cited until the suspension has been officially lifted by proclamation.
