Tuolumne County Chamber of Commerce Urges Residents To Patronize Local Shops
The President of the Tuolumne County Chamber of Commerce, George Segerinni, is urging Motherlode residents to shop locally during these tough economic times.
Segerinni was Friday morning´s KVML Newsmaker.
Segerinni said, “Shopping locally will turn every dollar over several times, which not only helps out our business community but also our government services through the sales taxes.”
The Chamber recommends that if you see an advertised price, either in a distant city or online, you can let your local merchant know and find out if he or she can´t match it.
Although business revenue has slowed down in Tuolumne County, Segerinni insists that this is not the worst of times and that overall Tuolumne County business has been fairly stable.
The Newsmaker of the Day can be heard each weekday morning at 6:47, 7:47 and 8:47 on AM-1450 KVML.
