Yosemite Set For Tunnel View Dedication Event

Yosemite National Park, CA — Yosemite will host the Tunnel View Overlook Restoration dedication event tomorrow morning at eleven o´clock.

The Tunnel View Overlook has been completely redesigned and renovated. These are the first changes to the area since the Overlook was constructed in 1933.

On hand for the ceremony will be Secretary of the Interior Dirk Kempthorne, National Park Service Pacific West Regional Director Jon Jarvis, Yosemite Superintendent Mike Tollefson, Yosemite Fund President Bob Hansen and native American dancers from the Tuolumne Band of Me-Wuk Indians.

The $3 million project was financed by the Yosemite Fund and the National Park Service as part of the President´s Centennial Initiative.
