Momentary Stalking Incident Reported To Sonora Police

Sonora, CA — Thursday afternoon during the four o´clock hour a 17 year old female high school student was walking home in the 400 block of Greenly Rd. when she was approached by an unknown individual offering her a ride.

The student declined. The unidentified male subject then proceeded to drive by the young woman several times, slowing down and looking at her. This action frightened the her and she immediately returned home and called the Police Department.

The driver was approximately 33 years old with short hair, a dirty blond mustache. He was described as scruffy and unshaven wearing a light green bandana with spades and clubs on it. The subject was driving an older forest green four door Mazda with bumper stickers on it. One of the bumper stickers was possibly that of Presidential hopeful John McCain.
