Sonora, CA — 28 year old Jehu Nathaniel Woodall of Beckwith Circle in Sonora and 35 year old Walter Charles Torrey IV of Peppermint Creek in Jamestown were arrested and booked into the County Jail shortly after midnight October 6.
Two deputies from the Tuolumne County Sheriff´s Office were on routine patrol in the Jamestown area and spotted Woodall driving a 1992 white Buick LaSabre at a high rate of speed. Woodall turned off Hwy 108 onto Rawhide Rd. He then turned onto Peppermint Creek was was pulled over by the deputies.
Woodall was under the influence of a controlled substance and was arrested. A search of the vehicle incident to the arrest revealed approximately six grams of methamphetamine (approximately a quarter ounce).
Woodall remains in custody with bail set at $20,000. Torrey was released when the District Attorney´s Office elected not to file charges.
