City And County Select Members For J.P.A. Governing Board
Sonora, Ca — The Governing Board of the Joint Powers Authority on Economic Development is starting to take shape.
At Monday´s Sonora City Council meeting, Mayor Ron Stearn appointed Hank Russell and Bill Canning to the two positions representing the City. Meanwhile at today´s Tuolumne County Board of Supervisors meeting, Chair Dick Pland appointed himself and Teri Murrison to the positions representing the County.
The four representatives will now schedule a meeting in the coming weeks to come up with a process of selecting the three ?at-large? members that will fill out the Governing Board.
The J.P.A. is an effort between the City of Sonora and Tuolumne County to promote economic development.
