Arrest Made In Connection To Explosive Device

San Andreas, Ca — 35-year-old Donovan Douglas Agasi of Mokelumne Hill has been arrested in connection to the discovery of an explosive device last week in San Andreas.

On September 18, a primitive time delayed device was found on the hood of a vehicle on Lewis Ave. in San Andreas. The Sheriff´s Department Bomb Squad responded, rendered the device safe, and confiscated it for further investigation.

Yesterday, the Sheriff´s Department conducted search warrants in both San Andreas and Mokelumne Hill, and located items consistent with bomb making materials. In addition, several illegal weapons, including firearms, swords and knives were discovered.

Agasi was arrested for possession of a destructive device, possession of items with the intent to manufacture a destructive device and possession of illegal fireworks.

He was transported to Calaveras County Jail were he is being held on $1,035,000 bail.
