Jamestown, Ca — Thursday night´s mobile home fire on 9th Avenue in Jamestown caused approximately $21,000 in damage to the structure and contents.
?The occupants were using a camp stove in their kitchen to cook, and the gas used to power the stove ignited,? says Fire Apparatus Engineer Kevin Siville. ?It in turn ignited some of the items inside the kitchen area.?
Siville adds that the occupants of the mobile home were able to have the fire pretty much extinguished by the time firefighters arrived on scene. No injuries were reported. The fire started during the five o´clock hour.
