Sonora & Murphys, Ca — A pair of popular car shows are on tap for this weekend in the Mother Lode with the annual Wing Ding and Grape Stomp presented by the Tuolumne County Chamber of Commerce and the Concours d´Elegance at Ironstone Vineyards.
Chamber President and CEO George Segarini says around 100 cars are expected for Saturday´s Wing Ding, which will run from 10am-3pm at the Junction Shopping Center.
?New this year, is that a grape stomp has been added to the event,? says Segarini. ?It is going to be a fun event with music all day long, some live entertainment in the afternoon and even a bounce house for the kids.?
Ironstone Vineyards will be hosting the Concours d´Elegance from 10am-4pm on Saturday. Gail Kautz says proceeds from the event will benefit 4H, FFA and the California State Scholarship Program.
?We started out 12 years ago and got 60 cars and were really excited about that,? says Kautz. ?As our show grew in numbers and grew in stature, now we´re turning people away. We´re thinking that we are going to have an incredible show this year.?
Showcased will be around 350 classic cars, antique wooden boats and a number of classic motorcycles.
