Standard, Ca — The Hwy 108 Fire Safe Council will hold a meeting Thursday at the new CAL Fire Station in Standard to discuss defensible space and emergency preparedness.
?This is no time to let our guard down, in fact conditions dictate that we´ve got to remain ever vigilant and be able to defend our homes? says Pat Kaunert of the Stanislaus National Forest. ?The first step is to get the defensible space around your home, and we´re going to be talking about this at the Fire Safe Council meeting.?
CAL Fire officials will also be on hand to showcase the new Standard facility, its engines and capabilities to handle all emergency responses.
The open meeting will begin at 6:30pm, Thursday at 18464 Striker Ct.
