Sonora, Ca — 516 vehicles were screened as part of a DUI checkpoint operation in Sonora Friday evening.
Sonora PD Traffic Officer Jaemie Boeding says that two sobriety tests were administered, and no one was charged with DUI. There was, however, one person ticketed for driving with a suspended license.
You can also expect to see extra CHP vehicles on the road this Labor Day weekend, as it is a maximum enforcement period. Officers will be looking for seat belt violators and those driving under the influence.
