Consolidation Arrives In Twain Harte

Sponsored by:

Twain Harte, CA — Consolidation of the students at Black Oak Elementary and Twain Harte Middle School will take effect tomorrow morning at 8:30.

Superintendent Dr. John Keiter says with each school housing only 200 students each it was not economically prudent to maintain two campuses.

Black Oak students (K-4) will report to the Bulloch Building while the Middle School students (5-8) will be housed in the McDonald Building. The districts´ 22 teachers will welcome approximately 370 students tomorrow.

Nearly $1.5 million in state funding has been used for renovation purposes including new HVAC, primary playground equipment along with new paint and carpet.

Keiter adds that the Black Oak facility will now house the District Office, technology and food preparation. Coldwell Banker is also leasing out additional space on campus.
