Attempted Murder Suspect Sought In Calaveras County

San Andreas, CA — Calaveras County Sheriff´s investigators and deputies are searching for 39 year old Lee Wilson of Mountain Ranch.

According to Sgt. Dave Seawell Wilson shot his brother, 37 year old Jimmy Wilson of Avery, at a birthday party Saturday evening in the 500 block of Sorrel Rd. in Avery during an argument.

Jimmy Wilson was lifeflighted to a Modesto area hospital with a shoulder wound. He was released later that evening. Seawell adds that alcohol may have been a factor in the shooting incident.

Lee Wilson fled the scene along with his 17 year old daughter who has been located. Wilson dropped a .25 caliber semi-automatic handgun after the shooting.

Wilson is described as standing five feet 10 inches tall and weighing 150 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing camouflage clothing. He is an avid outdoorsman and should be considered armed and dangerous.
