San Andreas, Ca — A Burson woman has been sentenced to four years in prison for the August of 2005 shooting death of her husband.

According to the Stockton Record, 69-year-old Janet Casey was found guilty of involuntary manslaughter last month for shooting her husband Frank Casey while she was reportedly severely intoxicated. The husband was shot in the chest, but there were no eyewitnesses to the incident. At one point she reportedly confessed to law enforcement about the killing, but at a later time denied involvement.

Casey received three years for involuntary manslaughter and an additional year for using a gun. The sentencing was handed down Friday.
