Body Identified As Delacruz
Sonora, Ca — Sgt. Jim Oliver with the Tuolumne County Sheriff´s Office confirms that an autopsy has found that the body located last Friday in Lake Don Pedro is that of Edgar Delacruz of the Modesto area.
The 20-year-old Delacruz went missing from a houseboat party back on Sunday, May 25. Officials were able to identify the body through dental records. Oliver says the cause has not been determined, but there were no signs of trauma.
Because there was a possibility that the body was that of Carl Stephen Knight, the voluntary manslaughter sentencing for Paul and Robert Slawinsky was postponed on Monday.
The District Attorney´s Office confirms that the Slawinsky brothers are now scheduled to be sentenced this afternoon at 3:30pm. If the body would have been that of Knight, they could have possibly faced more serious charges.
