Strawberry, Ca — The 20 acre Cotton Fire near the Cottonwood Campground area of the Stanislaus National Forest is 60 percent contained, with full containment expected by 6pm Friday.
The fire started Wednesday afternoon in an isolated area east of Strawberry and west of the Dardanelles.
Forest Service Spokesperson Pat Kaunert says that around 120 firefighters are dedicated to the incident, as they are attacking it from both the air and ground.
Kaunert reports that no structures are at risk of being affected by the fire.
