Fireworks Display Canceled Due To Oliver Fire

Mariposa County, Ca — The annual fireworks show from the Mariposa County Fairgrounds scheduled for Friday has been postponed due to the Oliver Fire that is now estimated to be 2,789 acres.
There are currently 1,298 fire fighting personnel operating from the Mariposa County Fairgrounds, and officials say there is no way to safely hold a fireworks display with that many firefighters working out of the grounds.
No new date has been scheduled.
