Calaveras County Suffers First Traffic Related Fatality Of The New Year

San Andreas, CA — 33 year old Donald James Hollingsworth, Jr. of Mokelumne Hill became the first Calaveras County traffic related fatality of the new year Saturday evening.
At approximately 5:30 Hollingswroth was, according to the CHP report, headed southbound on Jesus Maria Rd. north of Whiskey Slide Rd. His vehicle hydroplaned in the rainy weather, proceeded off the roadway and collided with a tree.
Hollingsworth died of blunt force trauma. He was not wearing a seatbelt.
