Pland And Murrison Voted Up The Ladder

Sonora, CA — Just prior to the Tuolumne County Board of Supervisors´ lunch break today Fifth District Supervisor Dick Pland received a unanimous vote of his peers to serve as the Board Chair for 2008.

Pland takes over the gavel from 2007 Board Chair Mark Thornton who thanked his fellow supervisors and the CAO staff for their support throughout the year.

By a 4-0 vote Third District Supervisor Teri Murrison was named as the Vice-Chair for 2008. She abstained from that vote.

Pland had the final comment of the morning session stating, “My first official action, I´ll recess the Board until 1:30.” And with that the Board broke for lunch.
