Two Big Rig Accidents Clog Mother Lode Roads

Sponsored by:

Sonora, CA — According to CHP Officer Tom Wills, two accidents involving big rigs are clogging traffic activity this afternoon.

The first accident, involving a vehicle and a big rig, occurred in the Blue Bell Rd. area near Sierra Bible Church on Tuolumne Rd. Injuries have been reported. On the scene, are the CHP, an ambulance and CAL Fire. Wills adds that to avoid a delay eastbound, motorists should detour to Draper Mine Rd. or Soulsbyville Rd. to make the cutover to Tuolumne Rd.

The second accident involved an overturned big rig on Hwy 120 near the Tuolumne-Stanislaus County line. A white powerdery substance has spilled on the westbound portion of the highway which, for the time being, has been shut down by the CHP.
