New Chair On Board Today For Calaveras County Supervisors
San Andreas, CA — This morning at nine o´clock in San Andreas new Chair Steve Wilensky will call his first Board of Supervisors meeting to order.
Wilensky takes over the Chair position from First District Supervisor Bill Claudino.
One key item on the agenda will be a resolution authorizing the Sheriff´s Department to purchase new equipment thanks to a $189,000 grant from the Buffer Zone Protection Plan and Vulnerability Reduction Planning Grant in addition to a budget transfer.
In addition to four closed sessions there will also be two study sessions focusing on developing guidelines for California Land Conservation Contracts and Agricultural Preserves and a Proposition 40 update.
Today´s meeting gets underway at 9am at the Government Center in San Andreas.
