Greenhorn Creek Captures Two Prestigious Awards

Angels Camp, CA — Greenhorn Creek Golf Resort has captured two prestigious awards from greenskeeper.org.

The golf social network has named the Robert Trent Jones II designed course as having the BEST Playing Conditions of all courses in the Sacramento region for 2007.

Superintendent Dave Camden says it is truly a great honor for the management and staff in addition to the club members. Camden also stated that Greenhorn Creek would never have won the honor without the dedication of his outstanding staff. Criteria for the honor was based on the comments by those who traveled to the Mother Lode to play the 18 hole layout.

In addition Greenhorn Creek captured the award for BEST Value Worth The Green Fee Award.

According to Assistant PGA Professional Allan Ramorini this honor included the manner in which golfers are treated in the Golf Shop and the quality of the equipment and apparel available for purchase.

The course has five tees (three for men – four for women). Course yardage stretches from 4,882 to 6,749 yards.
