Taxiway Charlie To Reopen This Spring
Sponsored by:
Columbia, Ca — The extension of Taxiway Charlie at the Columbia Airport is nearing completion.
With help from an FAA grant, the airport is extending the taxiway 1,700 ft. to the west. “The pavement is in place, we´ve reseeded the area around the taxiway, and hopefully in the spring time we´re going to have the taxiway opened up,” says Airport Director Jim Thomas.
Thomas says the total cost of the project is estimated at $500,000 with the majority of the funding coming from the FAA. It has been a two year project.
