Oakley Woman Arrested In Sonora On Multiple Charges
Sosnora, CA — A 41 year old Oakley woman was arrested in the Sonora Carpet Mart parking lot during the three o´clock hour Monday afternoon by Sonora Police.
Deanna Gunter had been involved in a verbal altercation with her 15 year old daughter when several citizens contacted police thinking the incident might develop into a physical altercation.
When police arrived they discovered, following a field sobriety test, that Gunter´s blood alcohol level was more than twice the legal limit.
Gunter was arrested for driving-under-the-influence and child endangerment and transported to the Tuolumne County Jail. In addition to her 15 year old daughter, she also had her seven year old daughter and 10 year old niece in her vehicle.
Lt. Mark Stinson complimented those who contacted the Police Deparetment stating that, “We are a team … we need the public´s help as often as possible.”
