Fire Victims Remain Unidentified

Sonora, CA — A positive identification of the two female victims from the Tuesday morning Jamestown doublewide mobile home fire remains pending.
According to Lt. Dan Bressler of the Sheriff´s Office, a forensic autopsy will be performed tomorrow in Sonora. The bodies have already been x-rayed. The women have been identified as a grandmother and her adult daughter. A dog was also lost in the fire.
Fire investigators from the Sheriff´s Department and CAL Fire have yet to determine the origin or the cause of the fire. Initially the area was identified as a crime scene.
