CHP Identifies Fatal Victim In Copperopolis Area Accident

Copperopolis, Ca — 56-year-old Raymond Lujan Jr. has been identified as the Copperopolis resident that was fatally injured in a single vehicle accident on Hwy 4 east of Obyrne´s Ferry Rd. this morning.
According to the CHP, Lujan was traveling westbound at approximately 55-60 mph when his 2004 Nissan truck drifted off the side of the road.
Lujan overcorrected, and the vehicle repeatedly rolled over.
A passenger in the truck, 20-year-old James White of Copperopolis, sustained moderate injuries.
