Cogdill Pleased That Home School Ruling Is Headed Back To Court
Sacramento, Ca — State Senator Dave Cogdill is praising the decision re-hear a court ruling that would have declared most instances of home schooling as unlawful in California.
“I am very pleased that the Second Court of Appeals has decided to re-hear the case which determines the fate of thousands of home schooling families throughout the State,” said Cogdill in a statement.
“The court´s earlier decision was an affront to the family and to commonsense and I am glad that the court will have another chance to get it right. Parental rights to oversee their children´s education and upbringing must be protected.”
The previous opinion of the court was that parents that home school must have a teaching credential.
