San Andreas, Ca — 1983 Calaveras High graduate Jason Weatherby has been selected to lead the school´s football program.

Weatherby will replace long-time head coach Roger Canepa, who recently announced he will be leaving for Central Catholic High School in Modesto next season.

Weatherby played college football at UC Davis and has spent the past nine years as an assistant to Canepa. He also currently serves as an agriculture teacher at the school.

“He´s going to slide right in and continue the winning tradition we have here at Calaveras,” says Principal Rick Stitt.

In Canepa´s 10 years at Calaveras High, the school compiled a 91-21-1 record.
